Afrobeats singer Davido, whose real name is David Adeleke, has expressed outrage over a viral video showing a brutal bullying incident involving students of Igbinedion Secondary School in Edo State.

The singer reacted on X on Sunday, strongly condemning the behaviour. “Fuckin animals… so disgusting,” he wrote in response to the footage circulating online.

The video shows two male students repeatedly assaulting a fellow student who had fallen to the ground.

At one point in the footage, one of the attackers is seen dragging the victim by his school uniform and stomping on his chest and head while the boy cries out in pain.

A third student, who was recording the incident, can be heard pleading with the attackers to stop.

The disturbing video quickly triggered widespread outrage on social media, prompting swift action from the authorities of Igbinedion Secondary School in Edo State.

In response, the school expelled the students involved in the bullying, while the student who recorded the incident was suspended.

In a statement, the Edo State Police Command also confirmed the disciplinary measures taken by the school. Police spokesperson Eno Ikioyedem said the Commissioner of Police, Monday Agbonika, had directed the Divisional Police Officer in the area to conduct a full investigation into the incident.

“The Edo State Police Command strongly condemns acts of bullying, violence, or intimidation among students, and anyone found culpable will face the full weight of the law,” the statement added.
