2027: WIKE-LED PDP RULES OUT SUPPORT FOR TINUBU

The Nyesom Wike-backed faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has declared that it will not support President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
The faction’s National Publicity Secretary, Jungudo Mohammed, stated this on Monday during an interview with The Media.
He added that the PDP intends to present its own presidential candidate in the forthcoming elections.
He said the faction is not supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general election, adding that it would do everything possible to field its own candidate.
He also appealed to Nigerians to be patient ahead of the party’s primaries, noting that speculations about the group backing the APC or being an appendage of the ruling party would be dispelled in due course.
According to him, time would address the rumours and propaganda, which he said are aimed at discrediting the PDP and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
