The Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero, has urged Nigerians to unite in prayer as part of efforts to address insecurity and restore peace across the country.

In a statement signed by his Press Secretary, Abubakar Balarabe Kofar Naisa, the Emir made the appeal during a special prayer session held at his palace in Nassarawa, Kano, where hundreds of members of the Qadiriyya Islamic movement gathered to pray for the nation.

Speaking at the event, the Emir emphasized the importance of seeking divine intervention in addressing the nation’s challenges.

He said the gathering was dedicated to prayers for Nigeria, calling for lasting peace, unity, and sustainable economic growth, while urging continued reliance on divine guidance in all national affairs.

The Emir noted that insecurity remains a major concern and called on Nigerians to remain steadfast in prayers while supporting efforts to restore stability.

He also led special prayers for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, asking for divine wisdom and guidance to help him address the country’s economic and security challenges.

“We pray Almighty Allah to assist him, grant him wisdom and good fortune, and enable him to succeed in stabilizing the nation’s economy and bringing an end to insecurity across the country,” he added.

The Emir further commended Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, for fostering unity among residents of the state.

Earlier, the leader of the Qadiriyya group, Baffa Babba Dan’agundi, said the prayer session was organized after the Ramadan period to seek divine guidance and blessings for Nigeria.

He said the gathering was aimed at collectively praying for peace, stability, and economic prosperity for the country.
