SANWO-OLU, IYABO OBASANJO HONOUR TINUBU ON 74TH BIRTHDAY

The Chairman of the South-West Governors Forum and Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his 74th birthday, describing him as a patriotic and compassionate leader.

In a statement issued on Saturday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, Sanwo-Olu praised Tinubu as a visionary and focused leader whose presidency has spurred development and growth, restoring citizens’ confidence in government.

“On behalf of my wife, Ibijoke, my family, the government and people of Lagos State, as well as the leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos, I congratulate our National Leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on his 74th birthday,” the governor said.

He described Tinubu as “an enigmatic, tested, and trusted politician and a democrat who has devoted the greater part of his adult life to serving humanity, Lagos State, and Nigeria. His democratic credentials, track record, and governance approach reflect his unwavering commitment to building a better Nigeria.”

Sanwo-Olu further described Tinubu as “a statesman, visionary, and compassionate leader dedicated to the growth and development of the country. As a detribalised Nigerian and elder statesman, he embraces every part of the nation. In his first term as President, he has positively impacted the lives of millions across all corners of Nigeria.”

He also lauded Tinubu’s tenure as Lagos State Governor, calling him “undoubtedly the father of modern Lagos, having transformed the state into a model for other Nigerian states and African nations.”

The governor prayed for the President’s good health, wisdom, and continued strength to serve the nation effectively.

Meanwhile, Ogun State governorship aspirant Iyabo Obasanjo congratulated President Tinubu on his 74th birthday in a statement issued on Sunday.

Obasanjo described Tinubu as “a courageous and visionary leader whose commitment to repositioning Nigeria’s economy and infrastructure is beginning to produce tangible results across the country.”

She praised the President’s administration for its ongoing construction, rehabilitation, and expansion of federal road networks, highlighting the noticeable improvements in Ogun State under his leadership.

“The renewed focus on critical road infrastructure under President Bola Tinubu has enhanced connectivity, stimulated economic activities, and eased the movement of people and goods within the state and beyond,” she said.

Obasanjo called for continued prioritisation of people-oriented projects, stressing that sustained investment in road infrastructure would drive growth, attract investment, and improve the quality of life for Nigerians.

She prayed for Tinubu’s good health, strength, and wisdom as he continues to guide the nation toward greater stability and progress.
