The Complaint Response Unit of the Nigerian Police Force has said officers captured in a viral video harassing young men have been identified and will face disciplinary action.
The unit disclosed this in a statement on Saturday, reacting to a video circulating on X.com, formerly Twitter, which showed police officers allegedly harassing young boys under the guise of a search operation.

The statement read, “Dear members of the public, the policemen in the viral video have been identified and appropriate disciplinary actions awaits them accordingly.”
“We seek for your support and trust as we fight impunity to a standstill,” it added, with the hashtag #NoToImpunity.
The unit also urged Nigerians to continue supporting the police in its efforts to eliminate misconduct within the force.
