Casemiro has stirred debate among football fans after sharing his thoughts on two former Real Madrid teammates, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale.

According to BBC Sport on Wednesday, the Brazilian midfielder spoke on the Rio Ferdinand Presents podcast about the elite talent he played alongside during Madrid’s dominant era in Europe.

Casemiro made it clear that Ronaldo occupies a unique level in football history, describing the Portuguese icon as being “in another world” because of his remarkable consistency and goal-scoring record.

Yet when discussing overall ability, the midfielder singled out Bale as the most complete player he had ever played with.

He praised the Welsh star for his speed, physical strength, aerial dominance, attacking quality, and defensive work rate, saying Bale could impact every aspect of a match.

In Casemiro’s words, Bale could “attack, defend, head, score,” while calling his all-round game “unbelievable.”

“Cristiano is the best, he’s in another world. Take Cristiano out of the conversation. But for me, Bale is the best, most complete player,” Casemiro said.

“Everything he does is very good. Very quick. Too strong. For me, Bale is unbelievable.”

The remarks have reignited conversations among supporters over what truly defines greatness in football — exceptional dominance like Ronaldo’s prolific scoring, or complete versatility across the pitch, which Casemiro believes Bale possessed.

During his successful spell at Madrid, Casemiro helped the club win multiple UEFA Champions League and La Liga titles alongside some of the game’s most celebrated stars.
