BREAKING: ALEX OTTI WINS GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION IN ABIA

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), named Labour Party candidate Alex Otti the winner of the March 18 governorship election in Abia state on Wednesday, ending days of political gridlock and angst.
Otti received a total of 175,467 votes, defeating Chief Okey Ahiwe of the governing Peoples Democratic Party, who received 88,529 votes, by a wide margin.
With 28,972 votes, Young Peoples Party candidate Enyinnaya Nwafor finished third.
