NIGERIAN ARMY INTERCEPTS LARGE QUANTITY OF DRUGS IN OGUN STATE
35 Artillery Brigade, Nigerian Army said it has intercepted large quantities of drugs, with their vehicles
This was disclosed in a statement on Saturday, by the Commander, 35 Artillery Brigade, Brigadier General, Mohammed Tajudeen Aminu.
He said the intercepted drugs numbering over 365 pieces of Pawpaw size wrapped Cannabis Sativa weighing about 176 KG has been handed over to the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency, Ogun State Command on Thursday, 11 January 2024.
According to him, the suspect was arrested by troops on routine patrol on 6 January 2024 at Olodo Imeko along Imeko ā Abeokuta road in Ogun state.
The Commander who was represented by the Garrison Commander, Colonel Legborsi Deedum Nule said the Brigade will continue to sustain all efforts in collaborating with other security agencies to rid the State of crimes.
He reiterated the Brigadeās commitment to ensuring troops maintain high standards and professionalism at all times in discharging their duties.
