TCN FIXES JOS-LAFIA TRANSMISSION LINES
The Transmission Company of Nigeria has revealed that its maintenance team has repaired the Jos-Lafia 330kV transmission lines, which it said had been out of service for some time.
According to information obtained by our correspondent, TCN started “scheduled preventive maintenance” on the Jos-Lafia 330kV transmission lines 1 and 2 on Saturday.
The preventive maintenance which was planned for seven hours, starting today and ending at 4pm.
However, the TCN said customers of the Jos Electricity Distribution Company in Bauchi would not be affected by the maintenance.
A statement by the TCN Public Affairs General Manager, Ndidi Mbah, noted, “Since the Jos-Lafia transmission lines have been redundant for a while, Jos DisCo has been duly informed that there would be no load loss”.
According to Mbah, Bauchi will get electricity supply from Kaduna-Jos 330kV lines.
