Two teenage sisters have been abducted by gunmen in the Guita community, Chikakore in Kubwa, Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), who are suspected of being kidnappers.

This occurs just one week after the residents of Chikakore mounted a protest at the Federal Capital Territory Administration’s (FCTA) Secretariat, citing the poor condition of the main route connecting their neighborhood as a contributing factor to the region’s high rate of serial kidnappings.

It was gathered that last Sunday, around 11:25 p.m., the abductors made a comeback despite the military and police presence in the region.

According to information reaching us, the six gunmen abducted the girls, who were reportedly 16 and 14 years old, and fled through the nearby hills and forests.

Under the condition of anonymity, a local resident corroborated the occurrence and stated that the girls were being held captive by kidnappers who were requesting N30 million in ransom.

Meanwhile, efforts to reach the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, for clarification on the matter were futile.

As of the time of filing this report, she did not respond to messages or pick up calls placed to her.
