ARMED BANDITS INVADE KWARA COMMUNITY, KILL ONE RESIDENT IN DEADLY ATTACK

Armed bandits on Tuesday launched an attack on Chekugi Community in Lafiagi Emirate, Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State, killing one resident and abducting members of a family during a late-night raid.
According to sources who spoke with NUPEKOTV, the attackers stormed the community around 2:00 a.m. and invaded the residence of a man identified as Yellow Kabari. He was reportedly killed during the assault, while his family members were taken away to an unknown location.
The incident has left residents in shock, with growing concerns over worsening insecurity in the area. Community members, now living in fear, have called on security agencies to intensify efforts to protect lives and property.
As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official statement from authorities regarding the attack or the whereabouts of the abducted victims. Residents continue to appeal for urgent intervention to prevent further incidents.
In a related development, the Nigerian Military has arrested a notorious bandit, Sule Yellow, following the collection of ransom in a separate kidnapping case.
