
COURT REMANDS 58-YEAR-OLD MAN FOR ALLEGEDLY DEFILING OWN 13-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER
A Badagry Chief Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, remanded a 58-year-old man, Joseph Gamor in Awarjigoh Correctional centre for allegedly defiling his 13-year-old daughter.
The Chief Magistrate, Mr Patrick Adekomaiya refused to take his plea.
Adekomaiya directed that the defendant be placed under remand until July 29 in order to allow the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) to provide legal counsel.
Gamor, who resides in Imeke, Badagry, Lagos, behind the Golden GLO Bus stop, is facing charges of defilement.
Earlier, Insp. Ayodele Adeosun, the prosecution’s attorney, informed the court that the defendant’s home was the scene of the crime on May 9 at around 9:00 a.m.
Adeosun claimed that Gamor had illegally used his manhood to pierce his 13-year-old daughter’s vagina.
“He unlawfully touched and removed her cloth and had sexual intercourse with her.
According to Adeosun, the crime violated Sections 261 and 263 of the Lagos State 2015 Criminal Law.
