ONIBA OF IBA LAND COMMENDS LAGOS COMMISSIONER FOR YOUTH AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT OVER HIS GOOD WORKS

The Oniba of Iba land, HRM Oba (Dr.) Suleiman Adeshina Raji, has praised Mr. Mobolaji Ogunlende, the commissioner for youth and social development, for his enormous advancements in the field of youth development and empowerment in Lagos State.
The praise was offered during the commissioner’s visit to the Royal Father at his palace with a few ministry employees and other young people.
In his words, “I am happy and want to commend you for the good works that you have been doing for our youths. I do read about your activities on social media. Please, keep up the good work. Our youths need to be constantly engaged in productive activities that will prepare them for a better future as the leaders of tomorrow. They are our hope. We are ready to support the administration of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu to make things better for our youths”.
In his remarks, Ogunlende said, “Mr. Governor is very passionate about the youths which is the reason Youth Engagement is one of the pillars in the THEMES Plus Agenda. As a Ministry, we are determined to ensure that our youth centres are in a good state. This is the reason we are out to inspect the ones in Badagry division today. While making plans to build more, we want to put the existing ones in good condition for proper use”.
The Commissioner, who had earlier visited the youth centres in Ikorodu, Epe and Lagos Island to ascertain their conditions, informed the people in Iba and Badagry, particularly the youths, that they must take full ownership of the facilities by maintaining and putting them to proper use to justify the resources expended by the state government.
