HOUSEWIFE FILES FOR DIVORCE OVER HUSBAND’S INABILITY TO CATER FOR FOOD
Kafayat Ajoke, a housewife, petitioned an Ilorin court for a divorce due to her husband, Aminullahi Ibrahim’s inability to feed his family.
In addition, the petitioner requested maintenance and food payment of N100,000 per month in addition to custody of the two children.
“I noticed that my husband changed after he lost his job one year ago, he does not provide enough money for food for the family,” she said.
Ibrahim responded by accepting the divorce petition.
Ibrahim stated that the only money he can afford to offer his wife each month for the upkeep and feeding of the two kids is N2,000.
“I don’t have a job, so I don’t have money. This is the main reason my wife wants a divorce,” he said.
The presiding judge, Idris Etsu adjourned the case until July 30, for judgment.
