UPDATE: FUBARA SIGNS EXECUTIVE ORDER TO ESTABLISH RIVERS STATE INVESTMENT PROMOTION AGENCY

The Rivers State Investment Promotion Council was established on Monday with the signing of Executive Order Number 2, 2024, by Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

In the executive council chamber of Government House, Port Harcourt, State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Dagogi Iboroma, presented Governor Fubara with the draft order for his approval.

Governor Fubara stated during his speech that this action is in line with the committee’s recommendations, which were used to plan the State Economic and Investment Summit in May.

He emphasized how crucial it is to provide investors with a single point of contact where they can ask questions and get financial advice.

According to Governor Fubara, the project shows how committed his administration is to improving the state’s economic climate.

He gave an update on the formation of the agency’s board and expressed hope for securing significant investments in healthcare and agriculture.

He claims that if the cost of living is significantly decreased, the level of stress in the nation will drop by 70%.
