#ONDO DECIDES 2024: INEC DISTRIBUTES ELECTION MATERIALS TO POLLING UNITS

Read Time:49 Second

On Saturday morning, Independent National Electoral Commission representatives began distributing papers to different units at the Anglican Primary School Registration Area Center in the Irele Local Government Area of Ondo State.

National Youth Service Corps members and Polling Unit Officers were on the ground to collect their electoral materials.

There were also police officers who would accompany the officials and materials.

As they waited for the exercise to start, early risers were also looking up their names on the voter’s list.

However, some locals made a lot of money selling refreshments, water, and food to people who arrived early before the voting started.

The goal, according to an INEC official, is to make sure the election got underway on time because it is the only way the process can proceed without any delays.

The official said, “We started the distribution of materials on time and our polling unit officers left early. Hopefully, the election can start as scheduled. No room for delay.”
