UPDATE: COMMUTERS TRAPPED AS HEAVY TRAFFIC GRIPS LAGOS-IBADAN EXPRESSSWAY
Since Wednesday night, commuters and drivers have been stuck in heavy traffic on the Lagos-Ibadan Motorway.
Along the parts of the road that leave Lagos, such as Kara, Opic, and Long Bridge, among others, there is a lot of traffic.
Investigations showed that this was the result of several vehicle breakdowns along this axis as well as a collision. The Long Bridge is also detoured because of continuing maintenance that has been going on for some time.

Due to traffic, many people arrived late for work on Thursday. This is the case all the way from Berger to Kara and down to Long Bridge.
For travelers attempting to leave Lagos, this traffic jam has presented a significant obstacle. Due to the fact that many outbound drivers have begun to pass the inbound side, it has also had an impact on those arriving in Lagos.
