REPS CANDIDATE LEAVES ADC OVER VALUES
On Monday, Zakari Garba, the African Democratic Congress’s 2023 House of Representatives candidate for the Ningi/Warji Federal Constituency of Bauchi State and former Director of Youth Mobilization, resigned from the party.
ADC National Chairman Chief Okey Nwosu received a letter on December 8th with this resignation.
He said that the 2023 House of Representatives candidate and ADC had different views and ideals, which was the reason he resigned.
He said, “I am writing to inform you and the general public of my decision to resign from the African Democratic Congress ADC party, effective from 8th December 2024. This decision has not been easy for me, but I feel it is necessary due to my political ambition.
“I want to express my gratitude to the party and its members for the opportunities to serve as Director of Youth Mobilisation (ADC Youth Council) and also for giving me the mandate to clinch the House of Representative ticket under ADC Party Ningi/Warji Federal Constituency in 2023 General Election.
“I appreciate the support and guidance I have received, and I am grateful for the chance and privilege given to me.
“However, I have come to realise that my personal beliefs and values no longer align with those of the party. In view of the above, I decided to drop my membership in the African Democratic Congress ADC party.”
Garba stated he will reveal his next political move while applauding the backing of his hordes of supporters.
“To my esteemed supporters, I will forever be grateful for the privilege I enjoyed since I started my political journey including the recent one in ADC Party where I contested the seat of House of Representative ticket Ningi/Warji Federal Constituency. I will soon announce my next political journey,” he added.
