SARAKI CELEBRATES AS SON SENI WINS GRAMMY
Former Senate President Bukola Saraki has congratulated his son, Seni Saraki, on his Grammy victory at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards held on Sunday, January 2 in Los Angeles.
Seni earned his first Grammy Award for his contribution to the Bob Marley: One Love soundtrack, which won Best Reggae Album.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Saraki expressed immense pride in his son’s achievement.
“Congratulations, Seni, on winning your first Grammy last night for your work on the ‘Bob Marley: One Love’ soundtrack, which took home the award for Best Reggae Album!
“Seeing you pour your heart into your passion and having it recognized on the global stage is an indescribable joy.
Well done! We are super proud of you!”
Reacting to the win, Seni expressed gratitude to all the artistes and producers who contributed to the soundtrack including Nigeria’s Wizkid and Bloody Civilian.

“I appreciate all the amazing artistes, producers, and engineers who were brave enough to take on this project because it is about Bob Marley’s legacy.
“I appreciate them for taking on the songs, reinterpreting them, and doing it their own way. Artists like Bloody Civilian, Wizkid, Daniel Caesar, and Jessie Reyez,” he wrote.
The Bob Marley: One Love project is a biographical film that explores the life of the reggae legend, highlighting his struggles, triumphs, and revolutionary music.
This Grammy win is another major milestone for Seni, who previously gained industry recognition for his work as a music consultant on the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack, which earned four Grammy nominations in 2023.
A graduate of the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), Seni is the CEO of The Native, a Lagos-based music magazine he co-founded in 2016 with Teni ‘Teezee’ Zaccheaus. The platform celebrates African music, style, and culture while pushing the global recognition of Afrobeats and other African sounds.
