LAGOS TASKFORCE EMBARKS ON ENFORCEMENT OF BAN ON COMMERCIAL MOTORCYCLES (OKADA) ON HIGHWAYS, OTHER RESTRICTED ROUTES
Yesterday, the agency carried out its routine enforcement of the ban on Commercial Motorcycles, commonly known as Okadas, operating on Lagos State highways and other restricted routes.
The operation, which began at approximately 11:00am, targeted several key areas, including Berger Suya, Kirikiri Road, the 2nd Rainbow Bridge, and Apple Junction, inward Festac.
A total of 79 Commercial Motorcycles were impounded across the visited locations.
While the operation proceeded smoothly in most areas, there was a minor resistance at Berger Suya. However, this was swiftly addressed using minimal force and the tactical expertise of our officers.
Throughout the operation, the agency maintained the highest standards of professionalism and civility in all areas visited.
