JUST IN: TINUBU, AKPABIO, SERVICE CHIEFS, IG IN PRIVATE MEETING
The Inspector-General of Police and his service chiefs are currently meeting with President Bola Tinubu in the Aso Rock Presidential Villa.
Both Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele and Senate President Godswill Akpabio attended Tuesday’s sessions, which started at around three o’clock in the afternoon.
Additionally, our correspondent saw Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu and Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas arrive at the Presidential Villa’s forecourt.
Whether they are attending the meeting with security leaders is uncertain, though.
The National Intelligence Agency’s Mohammed Mohammed, the State Security Service’s Director General Mr. Adeola Ajayi, and National Security Advisor Nuhu Ribadu are there.
Hours after an explosion shook a portion of the Trans Niger Pipeline in Bodo Community in the Gonna Local Government Area of Rivers State, the emergency conclave was called, though it is unknown why.
Late on Monday night, an explosion happened close to the Bodo-Bonny Road, which is still under construction.
