‘I’M NOT TIED TO ANYBODY’, TINUBU SMARTER THAN OBI, OTHERS — ATIKU'S EX-SPOKESMAN, SOWUNMI

A former spokesperson for Atiku Abubakar’s 2023 presidential campaign, Segun Sowunmi, has described President Bola Tinubu as more politically astute than his opponents, including Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi.

Sowunmi made the statement during his appearance on Channels Television’s “Politics Today” on Monday.

Responding to questions about his recent visit to the president, the former Ogun State governorship aspirant said the meeting should not be seen as a betrayal of his political ties to Atiku.

Declaring his political independence during the interview, Sowunmi stated that he is not bound to any politician.

When asked if he informed Atiku prior to the meeting with Tinubu, he replied that he has the freedom to make his own decisions as an adult.

“I am at liberty as an adult to take decisions. I am not tied to anybody. I am not anti-Tinubu. I own my mouth, I own my words, and I own my arguments.

Sowunmi spoke glowingly about Tinubu and his programs, saying the difference between the president and his political rivals lies in his smartness.

“Do you know the difference between Bola and them? He doesn’t have one approach to dealing with everybody. By miles, he (Tinubu) is smarter than them. He is smarter than Peter Obi, he is smarter than them,” he said.
