The Nigeria Police Complaint Response Unit has addressed a viral video circulating online, which captures officers from Operation Flush in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, forcefully entering a private residence.

A Nigerian man identified as Michael, who tweets under the handle #MichaelFrosh32, posted the video on X (formerly Twitter), alleging that the officers were involved in an attempted daylight robbery at a home in the Adebayo area of the city. He urged the police authorities to take disciplinary action against those involved.

In its response through its official X handle, the Police Complaint Response Unit requested additional information to facilitate an investigation into the incident.

The unit wrote: “Dear #MichealFrosh32, kindly provide more details via DM, thank you for bringing this to the attention of the Police force. #NoToImpunity.”
