Former governor of Anambra State and Labour Party presidential aspirant, Mr. Peter Obi, has joined the international literary community in honoring award-winning novelist, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, on the occasion of her birthday.

In a statement shared on his Facebook page, Obi referred to Adichie as a “true literary giant” whose creations have enriched worldwide literature while elevating humanity.

“Chimamanda has blossomed into a true literary giant, whose writings enrich global literature while uplifting humanity. She has used her extraordinary gift to tell our stories with dignity and raise new generations of storytellers,” Obi remarked.

He emphasized that through her novels, essays, and literary workshops, Adichie continues to motivate young individuals to aspire fearlessly, think critically, and wield words as instruments for truth and transformation.

Obi further accentuated the author’s humility and profound connection to her heritage, reminiscing about her visits to her former school to honor her educators. “In that simple yet profound act, she reminded us all that the journey forward is strongest when anchored in gratitude to the past,” he asserted.
