OBA LADOJA LIVES A LIFE OF SACRIFICE – DR. AKIM YUSUF

The new Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa 1 has been described as a leader whose life and journey reflect simplicity, sacrifice, and principle.

Former adviser on due process to ex-Governor Ladoja, Dr. Akim Yusuf, shared these reflections while speaking on the ascension of the new monarch on a television programme, Saturday Special.

Dr. Akim Yusuf stated that the new Olubadan has always been a man who listens to other people’s opinions and ideas while remaining firmly rooted in his values.

He noted that although Oba Ladoja is sometimes misjudged, he has consistently upheld due process, a quality that has earned him respect from leaders at different levels of government.

Dr. Yusuf further explained that Oba Ladoja’s life is one of sacrifice, noting that at various points, he gave up his personal principles to move forward, but never at the expense of human life or the wellbeing of others.

He described the new Olubadan as a man deeply grounded in history, who embodies peace, calmness, and integrity, the qualities, he said, will shape his reign.

With Oba Rashidi Ladoja now on the Olubadan throne, expectations are high that his reign will usher in a new era of peace, cultural renewal, and development for Ibadanland.
