UCL: ARBELOA POINTS OUT LEADER IN REAL MADRID SQUAD

Real Madrid manager Alvaro Arbeloa has praised Jude Bellingham as a “leader” and described the midfielder as the “cornerstone of this team for many years.”
Arbeloa made the remarks during a press conference ahead of Real Madrid’s upcoming Champions League clash against Benfica, noting that a victory would secure the team’s spot in the knockout stage.
Bellingham has impressed since Arbeloa succeeded Xabi Alonso as manager, including scoring in Madrid’s 6-1 triumph over Monaco last week.
“Besides his footballing ability, I’ve seen a player who wants to be a leader and a role model,” Arbeloa said.
“The way he trains, his work ethic, and his leadership — I’m really proud to have a player like Jude Bellingham.”
