VIDEO : MALAMI CLASHES WITH EFCC OPERATIVES, DEMANDS COURT ORDER TO AVOID EMBARRASSMENT

Former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, was involved in a tense confrontation with Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) operatives during an early morning raid at his Abuja residence.
In a video circulating online, Malami is seen challenging the legitimacy of the operatives’ presence, repeatedly demanding to see a valid court order authorizing their actions.
“Where is your court order?” he asked firmly. “Do you want to disgrace me?”
EFCC operatives reportedly told Malami that they had the authority to mark the property, citing an ongoing investigation.
Malami, however, disputed their claim, arguing that any order authorizing such actions had already expired.
“You said the property is under probation—how can it still be under probation when the order has elapsed?” he questioned.
“You were at my other house earlier this morning, and now you are here again. Why?”
He further demanded that the operatives present clear legal authority for their actions.
“The order you are referring to is not specific. It does not provide clear directives for marking my property,” Malami stated.
“This matter is already before the court. Show me where it says you have the authority to be here.”
The media had earlier reported that operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) stormed a house belonging to former Attorney-General Abubakar Malami in Abuja on Monday, forcing those present to vacate the premises.
The incident took place shortly after former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar visited the Maitama residence, spending about an hour there before departing.
