DJ KULET REVEALS SHE WAS A SEX WORKER IN SURULERE BEFORE FAME

Popular Nigerian Fuji disc jockey, Kudirat Gbemisola, professionally known as DJ Kulet, has revealed that she once engaged in prostitution.

She made the disclosure during a church service on Sunday while giving a testimony about her transformation and gratitude to God.

In a video that has since gone viral on social media, she said that before giving her life to Christ, she was a well-known prostitute in the Surulere area of Lagos State, even while working as a DJ.

Reflecting on her past, she said: “I just want to say thank you Jesus because my story here in Surulere was a very bad one. Everybody knows me because I grew up in Lawanson. But I repent, and God removed me from the gutter.”

Sharing the video on her Instagram page on Monday, she wrote: “How Jesus bought me my own house in Surulere, the same Surulere where the devil once messed me up. Jesus Christ turned my mess to a message (His Gospel).”

“I was once homeless and involved in prostitution. I was quite popular at the time, and many people knew me. I was roaming the streets of Lagos with no shelter. Later, someone rented a face-me-I-slap-me apartment for me. My work in prostitution later helped me move into a self-contained room, and with the money I earned, I was able to progress further until Jesus Christ lifted me again to a room and parlour self-contained. My DJ career also began to pay, but I faced challenges with my landlord, who did not provide toilet facilities for two years, forcing me to struggle with basic needs.”

“After living in a house without a toilet for two years, I moved into a four-bedroom en-suite apartment, where I currently live, through my DJ work. Fast forward to April last year, God blessed me with a house in Surulere, which I bought outright without any immoral means, including agent fees.”

The MEDIA recalls that in 2025, the DJ also revealed that she had been molested by a family member.
