Nigerian singer BNXN has strongly criticised American rapper Fat Joe over his controversial remarks claiming Afrobeats originated from Jamaica.
the MEDIA reports that Fat Joe made the comments during a recent podcast appearance, where he also alleged that BNXN changed his former stage name, Buju, due to Jamaican dancehall artist Buju Banton.
Responding on Thursday via his X handle, BNXN advised the rapper to properly educate himself on the origins and history of African music.
BNXN also taunted Fat Joe, suggesting that his alleged dislike for African music and its artists was even reflecting in his appearance.
He wrote: “The hate in your heart and your misinformation about African music and its artists is why your chromosomes are all f**ked up. Educate yourself, bozo @fatjoe.”
