The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has initiated talks with William Osula regarding a potential switch to represent the Super Eagles, DAILY POST reports.

Osula, who is currently contracted to Premier League side Newcastle United, is eligible to play for Nigeria through his father.

The 22-year-old was born to a Danish mother and a French-Nigerian father.

The striker has consistently shown pride in his Nigerian heritage, despite representing Denmark at youth level.

Osula received his first senior call-up for Denmark during the March 2026 World Cup qualifiers but did not feature in any match.

Football journalist Farzam Abolhosseini reported on X that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has already made initial contact with the forward.

However, it is still unclear whether Osula will commit to representing Nigeria at senior international level.
