DR. SERIKI MURITALA ISHOLA DECLARES INTENT FOR LAGOS ASSEMBLY SEAT

Dr. Seriki Muritala Ishola, popularly known as DSM, has formally declared his intention to contest for the Lagos State House of Assembly seat representing Kosofe Constituency II, under the All Progressive Congress political party, marking a major development in the constituency’s political scene ahead of the upcoming elections.
The declaration event took place at the CMD Hall, Funplex Event Centre, located along CMD Road, Magodo, Lagos. The declaration event attracted a large gathering of supporters, youth organisations, community leaders and political stakeholders from different parts of Kosofe, many of whom expressed confidence in Dr. Isola’s leadership abilities. Participants described him as a grassroots politician with a strong vision for inclusive governance and community growth. They also stressed the need for effective representation, saying his ambition reflects the desire of residents for active legislative leadership.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Isola outlined his plans to improve infrastructure, promote youth empowerment, and strengthen the education sector within the constituency. He pledged to champion people-oriented policies and promised to uphold integrity, transparency, and accountability if elected. According to him, Kosofe Constituency II deserves focused leadership committed to sustainable development and the welfare of the people. Having served in different roles which includes; Vice President – Lagos State University Student Union, Medical Doctor – Medical Student Association, Speaker – Lagos State Youth Parliament, among others where he gained experience and served with integrity and purpose.

He also appealed for unity among party members and encouraged residents to remain actively involved in the democratic process, noting that progress can only be achieved through collective effort and a shared vision.
Political analysts say Dr. Isola’s declaration has already sparked significant interest, especially among young voters and grassroots supporters, with growing networks of backing emerging across the constituency.
As preparations for the Lagos State House of Assembly elections continue, observers believe Dr. Seriki Muritala Isola’s entrance into the race is likely to influence political discussions and reshape the contest in Kosofe Constituency II in the coming months.
