The Independent National Electoral Commission in Ondo State has announced the start of the Claims and Objections exercise for the second phase of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR).
According to a statement issued by Ogunseye Olayinka, Head of Voter Education and Publicity, on behalf of Resident Electoral Commissioner Mutiu Agboke, the exercise will run from April 29 to May 5, 2026.
The commission said the Preliminary Register of Voters will be displayed daily from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at all 18 local government offices across the state.
INEC explained that the exercise will allow newly registered voters, those seeking transfers, and individuals who updated their biodata to confirm their information. It also gives eligible residents the opportunity to report errors or omissions for correction.
The commission noted that members of the public can object to names believed to be ineligible, including underage registrants, deceased persons, and non-citizens listed in the register.
According to INEC, the process is aimed at ensuring a credible and accurate voters’ register ahead of future elections. The commission also urged eligible citizens and registered voters in Ondo State to participate in the exercise.
