PLATEAU UNITED’S OVOKE SCORES BACK-TO-BACK NPFL GOALS
Plateau United forward Bernard Ovoke says he’s delighted with his new form in front of goal after he scored in his second consecutive game for the team in the Nigeria professional football league.
The former Rivers United’s goal poacher had earlier struggled for confidence in from of goal after he fired blank in the opening two games against FC Ifeayin Ubah and Heartland football club of Owerri respectively.
However, he scored his first goal of the season on at the weekend in their win over in-form El Kanemi Warriors and he added the second against Rafael Everton’s Akwa United on Wednesday to make sure Abdul Maikaba left his former home on hurt.
“Sweet feeling for me as I scored a back to back in the league, my first from open play and second goal of the season against Akwa Utd.” He posted on his social media accounts
The striker added that he dedicate the goal to the Club fans and promised them they haven’t seen the best of him yet.
“The goal is special, so I want to dedicate it to my fans and urged them to watch out as more goals will come from me.”
Plateau United left Uyo with a point after the game ended 2-2 at the Nest of Champions stadium.
