PFA REVEALS MEN AND WOMEN PLAYER OF THE YEAR CONTENDERS

The Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) has announced its six-player shortlists for the 2024 Men’s and Women’s Player of the Year awards.
In the men’s category, Arsenal trio Gabriel Magalhães, David Raya and Declan Rice—who all played key roles in the club’s Premier League title success—have been nominated.
They are joined on the shortlist by Manchester City pair Rayan Cherki and Erling Haaland, as well as Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes.
In the women’s category, the nominees include 2023/24 winner Bunny Shaw, Chelsea star Lauren James, and Arsenal forward Alessia Russo.

Also shortlisted are Shaw’s Manchester City teammate Yui Hasegawa, Aston Villa attacker Kirsty Hanson, and Manchester United’s Jess Park.
