Yul Edochie : I Want My Daughter To Get Married At 21
Nollywood Hunk, Yul Edochie needs no much introduction, as his father, Pete Edochie’s contribution to the growth of Nollywood is momentous and has made the name Edochie a famous one within the Nigerian entertainment industry.
Just few days ago, precisely on Thursday, December 7, 2015, Yul turned 34 and has been enjoying life to the fullest as a married man with three lovely grown kids.
Married at 22, Yul has no regrets and ready to do it all over again if given the opportunity.
“Yes, I would still marry at 22. It’s still the best decision I ever made in my life. I am 34-years old now with three kids, the last one will be eight years old this year. I would do it all over again if given the chance and with the same person,” he said in a recent interview.
Ever wondered if the popular actor would encourage his daughter to marry early? Sure he would.
Hear his reasons; “Once she has her first degree and she’s done with the youth service she can get married. She would be about 21 or 22 by the time she completes her NYSC. If she wishes to get married I would give her hand away in marriage.”
When asked if he would agree that his father’s fame opened doors for him in showbiz, Yul answered negative.
“My father’s importance in the movie industry is huge and he’s highly respected, but his fame didn’t really open doors for me or influence anything. Nobody gave me a role because of him. I started from the scratch and rose gradually because of my talent and the grace of God,” he clearly stated.
