Taraji P. Henson and her boyfriend Kevlin Hayden are now engaged. The two were dating for close to two years before the former NFL player decided to put a ring on it.
The star of Empire took to Instagram to exclaim that she is officially off the market. Henson captioned the photo with a brief retelling how Hayden popped the question, noting how he “started with the Cartier love bracelet BUT that was my #Mothersday gift and then he dropped to his knee and I almost passed out!!! ?????.” Henson proudly reveals that “#sheisofficiallyoffthemarket and she is sooooooooooooo HAPPY!!!!!! #GODIS ????.”
The engagement most likely came as a surprise to the 47 year-old, who only recently acknowledged her romantic affiliations with Hayden in a 2017 “Yes, Girl!” podcast. “I’m very happy. Everything is coming together,” she exclaimed. “I’m happy in my personal life.”
