GBENGA DANIEL TO APC?
Former governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel is currently considering joining the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC barely 24 hours after he announced his exit from partisan politics.
OGD who was the Director-general of the Atiku-Campaign Organisation had announced his resignation from the People’s Democratic Party, PDP ,submitting his letter of resignation to the Chairman of the party, Uche Secondus.
He however made a ‘u-turn’on Sunday at a meeting with members of his political family in Ogun, after he suggested that he may consider joining the APC.
Speaking with newsmen shortly after the meeting, Daniel said, “Basically, they said I could resign from PDP.
“They said I must lead them to APC and they also said I could not retire from politics. That is the summary of what I heard.”
When asked what his next line of action was, the ex-governor said, “Now, we have to take a look at it.”
When asked if he was ready to go to APC, Daniel said, “What else can I say? My people have spoken.”
