AFRONATION GHANA: AFROBEATS TO THE WORLD
Afrobeats is crossing oceans through radio waves, streaming and the gallant movement of artistes.
What can we do to enforce this as a movement rooted in Africa. West Africa.?
Now, the world is not only dancing and vibing to it, they’re starting to make the beats themselves. Now, what will be our gain if this is snatched from us?
All thanks to Afronation that has taken the center stage. 20,000+ fans gathered to vibe to Afrobeats at Portugal and that’s huge.
That tells us that people will spare no resources to enjoy the sound taking over the world and to gather with likeminds to hear the sound live.
This is more than Entertainment. This is a statement. A confirmation and affirmation. A feeling. A deliberate seeking of a place where music would make them feel entitled to something.
With the movement from Europe, back to Africa in December with #AfroNationGhana and the journey to #USA in 2020, we can only hope for one thing, a worldwide take over.
What would a collaboration between our acts and Asian acts in few months looks like? This movement will fast track it. Imagine a collaboration between Davido and BTS or Wizkid and EXO. Exciting right? Yes! Keep the imaginations on.
