NOTTINGHAM FOREST SET TO MOVE FOR WATFORD’S EMMANUEL DENNIS

Nottingham Forest are a move for Watford want-away striker Emmanuel Dennis, this summer.

The ambitious City Ground club, which has already invested more than £70 million in new players, including super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi, isn’t done yet as they are looking to bolster their midfield and attack.

Dennis is viewed as a less expensive alternative to the club’s top target, Jesse Lingard, who is asking for £180,000 per week in salary and scored 10 Premier League goals for Watford despite their relegation from the league last season.

The Daily Mail reports that Forest manager Steve Cooper appreciates Dennis’ speed and versatility believing it fit what Forest wants in their front line.

The 24-year-old is wanted by a number of clubs, including Everton, West Ham, Newcastle United, and Villarreal. Watford is asking around £25m for him.

The Nigeria international only cost Watford £3m when they signed him from Bruges a year ago and the proposed profit margin would represent another astute piece of transfer business by the club.

Dennis was on target for the Hornets in their 4-1 pre-season friendly win against Wycombe Wanderers at London Colney on Saturday.
