Former Managing Director of Nigeria Port Authority, Arc. Aminu Dabo, has reportedly rejected an appointment to serve as a member of the Labour Party Presidential Advisory Committee.

The former NPA boss reportedly declined the appointment as he is a full-fledged member of the ruling All Progressives Congress, and committed to the victory of the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, according to Bashir Ahmad, President Muhammadu Buhari’s Special Assistant on Digital Communications.

Ahmad wrote, “FLASH: Former MD of the NPA, Arc. Aminu Dabo has rejected an appointment to serve as member of the Labour Party Presidential Advisory Committee, saying that he’s a full pledged member of the APC, and committed to Tinubu/Shettima’s victory at the upcoming presidential election.”

It was reported that the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi’s presidential campaign council list was trailed by controversies as his supporters particularly rejected the appointment of former Defence Media Director, Gen. John Enenche (Rtd) for dispelling the Lekki massacre while serving as military spokesman.

The Labour Party eventually removed Enenche from the campaign council.
