LSACA ORGANISES HIV/AIDS ANNUAL OPERATIONAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN WORKSHOP

Lagos State AIDS Control Agency (LSACA), in collaboration with the Local Health System Sustainability Project (LHSS), recently organised a dynamic two-day Annual Operational Development Plan Workshop.
The primary objective of the workshop was to develop a comprehensive Annual Operational Plan that will serve as a roadmap for monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the 2021-2026 State HIV and AIDS Strategic Plan, aligned with the National Strategic Framework.
The strategic initiative aims to assess the effectiveness of the State’s HIV/AIDS response and ensure the efficient utilization of the Agency’s limited resources for targeted programmes.
In her opening remarks at the event held in Lagos, the Chief Executive Officer, LSACA, Dr. Folake Animashaun emphasised that the Annual Operational Plan goes beyond mere documentation as it’s a vital tool for facilitating the rigorous monitoring and evaluation of the State’s progress in combating HIV/AIDS.
The CEO underscored the state’s unwavering commitment to maximising the impact of every endeavour within the HIV/AIDS response framework.
Animashaun also appreciated the esteemed stakeholders’ steadfast support and dedication to achieving the global HIV and AIDS targets set for the State.
The workshop brought together diverse participants, including Implementing Partners, Line Ministries, and Networks, fostering collaboration, innovation, and collective efforts toward the goal of eradicating new HIV infections by 2030.
