DELE MOMODU ACCUSES WIKE OF BEING DISLOYAL TO PDP

Read Time:1 Minute, 36 Second

Dele Momodu, a former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, has charged Nyesom Wike with betraying the party and making allegations. The president’s team does not trust the FCT minister, despite the fact that he is employed by President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Due to a dispute with the PDP leadership over the party’s choice to choose Atiku Abubakar, a native of the northern area, as its flagbearer for the exercise, Wike, the former governor of Rivers State, supported Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 presidential election.

Despite his subsequent appointment as FCT Minister, he has not yet left the PDP. Despite requests for him to be sanctioned, the party has not done so.

But Momodu, a publisher, berated Wike for his stance and accused him of trying to destroy the PDP.

“Wike feels he is fooling Tinubu and his people. But Tinubu’s people know him very well,” he said on Tuesday’s edition of Channels Television’s breakfast sho

“There is no Nigerian today who does not know that Wike cannot be trusted in any matter especially if it affects his interest in power. For him, power is everything. Money is everything.”

Although attempts were made, Wike and the PDP were not able to come to terms. The PDP lost the Rivers State presidential election to the APC as a result of the FCT minister’s falling out with the party.

However, Momodu thinks that Wike’s actions against the PDP went too far.

“What a man should know is that when you cut your nose, thinking you want to spit your face, you would look awkward,” he said.

He, however, noted: “We have left him and we are watching him”.

Momodu insisted he would have sanctioned Wike if he were in a position to do so. He wants the PDP to take action against the minister to put the party in the right stead.
