Following the prime minister’s removal, there were at least 109 fatalities during Monday’s violent upheaval in Bangladesh, according to police and medical officials, revising a previous death toll.
An AFP count based on police, government authorities, and hospital physicians puts the death toll at 409, making it the bloodiest day since protests started in early July.
