Anambra State Police Command has arrested a domestic worker, Divine Nnalue, for allegedly stealing his employer’s vehicle and fleeing to Delta State.

Nnalue reportedly absconded with a black Toyota Camry, bearing registration number ENU 289 JF, from his employer’s residence at Trinity Avenue, Federal Housing Estate in the 33 area of Onitsha.

According to a statement issued on Monday by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the suspect was apprehended on June 13, 2025, at Ugbeji-Okpanam, near Asaba, following an intelligence-led operation carried out by operatives attached to the 33 Police Station.

“The suspect, a domestic worker, confessed during interrogation that he had sold the stolen car to an unidentified buyer. Based on this confession, efforts are currently underway to recover the vehicle and apprehend other individuals involved in the crime,” Ikenga stated.

He added that the successful arrest demonstrates the Command’s commitment to tracking down suspects, recovering stolen property, and maintaining public trust.

The police assured the public that investigations are ongoing and promised to bring all those connected to the incident to justice.
