The APC Greater Kosofe Mega Rally served as a vibrant demonstration of unity and grassroots strength across Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, and Kosofe Local Government Area. Held ahead of the 2025 local government elections, the rally drew massive support from party loyalists and leaders who gathered to reaffirm their commitment to the All Progressives Congress and the leadership vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The rally, described as one of the most significant grassroots mobilization events in recent months, served as a joint declaration of support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a renewed commitment to the development agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Lagos State Government.

The Candidates are: Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, Mayoress of Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area, Hon. Moyosore Ogunlewe, Chairman of Kosofe LGA, and Adetola Adedayo Abubakar, Executive Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA.

Delivering the welcome speech, Hon. Femi Saheed declared confidently that, “By 2027, APC shall win again for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Nigerians believe in his leadership and vision. The work starts now in Greater Kosofe.”

He praised the success of the local government reforms led by President Tinubu, citing unprecedented development across Kosofe:

In Ikosi-Isheri, the establishment of a top-tier healthcare centre described as “one of the best in Africa.”
In Agboyi-Ketu, the transformation of the housing sector through innovative public housing estates.
In Kosofe, investments in roads, education, and empowerment programmes.

The rally also celebrated the socio-economic impact of splitting the original Kosofe LGA into three LCDAs, a move hailed as visionary for increasing development reach, creating employment, and strengthening governance at the grassroots.

Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, touted as one of the most effective grassroots leaders in Lagos, was officially endorsed for re-election. Her track record, combined with her promise to “deliver even more in the next four years,” drew thunderous applause.

In a call to action ahead of the July 12 local government elections, Princess Bada urged residents of Ikosi-Isher, Agboyi-Ketu, and Kosofe to mobilize, participate, and vote massively for the APC candidates.

“We do not want you to say ‘Bi o dibo, O ti wole’ (If we don’t vote, you have won), we want you to come out in mass, vote and we will win.”

The atmosphere was charged with optimism, chants of support, and strong affirmations of APC’s continued dominance in Lagos politics. The event reinforced a collective resolve to deliver victory for the party at the polls and ensure sustained development and responsive governance in the Greater Kosofe area.
