BREAKING: TINUBU GIFTS D’TIGRESS N150m EACH, FLAT, NATIONAL HONOUR (VIDEO)

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Monday evening announced the gift of $100,000 each (N150m), one flat at the Renewed Hope Housing Estate and national honours to members of the victorious D’Tigress women’s national basketball team.
Additionally each of the coaches will get $50,000 (about N75m), a flat and national honour of OON (Officer of the Order of the Niger).
The team clinched their fifth consecutive AfroBasket title—and seventh overall—by defeating Mali 78–64 in the final played at the Palais des Sports de Treichville in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.

The remarkable win reaffirmed their dominance in African women’s basketball and continued an unbroken winning streak that began in 2017.
