NTA OSOGBO PLEDGES SUPPORT FOR INEC AHEAD OF 2026 OSUN GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION

The Honourable Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Osun State today hosted the management team of the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA), Osogbo, led by its General Manager, Mr. Abdulrazaq Ajala, on a courtesy visit to his office.
The visit was aimed at strengthening collaboration between the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and NTA, with the television station pledging to provide a robust platform for airing INEC’s activities, particularly as preparations intensify for the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) and the 2026 Governorship Election in Osun State.
In his remarks, the REC commended NTA for its dedication to public enlightenment and expressed appreciation for the station’s readiness to partner with the Commission. He officially announced the upcoming CVR exercise, urging all eligible citizens yet to register to seize the opportunity. He further called on NTA to leverage its wide reach to educate the public on the registration process, voter rights, and the importance of active participation in the electoral process.
The visit featured the presentation of INEC’s Regulations and Guidelines for the Conduct of Elections and a group photograph session to mark the occasion.
