The Lagos State Police Command has announced significant operational breakthroughs for November 2025, with Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Moshood Jimoh, revealing details of large-scale recoveries, high-profile arrests, and intelligence-driven crackdowns across the state.

Speaking at the Command Headquarters in Ikeja on Monday, the Commissioner said the month under review recorded “major breakthroughs through intelligence-led operations, targeted raids, sustained surveillance, and prompt and proactive tactical responses.”

He noted that the coordinated efforts were part of the Command’s intensified strategy to dismantle criminal networks and enhance public safety.

According to the CP, the Command recovered 10 vehicles and one motorcycle linked to cases of theft, car-snatching, fraudulent conversion, smuggling, and abandoned property.

Among the recovered vehicles were a white Toyota Hilux, a white Range Rover, a black Toyota Land Cruiser, a Lexus GX 460, a Honda CR-V, two Toyota Corollas, a Lexus ES350, and a Toyota Highlander. A Boxer Bajaj motorcycle linked to suspicious activities was also intercepted.

On armed robbery and violent crime, CP Jimoh disclosed that officers arrested several suspects involved in conspiracy, kidnapping, robbery, stealing, assault occasioning harm, and threats to life.

Items recovered from the suspects included six firearms—ranging from locally fabricated pistols to cut-to-size guns—multiple live cartridges, a machete, a battle axe, an assault dagger, Nigerian military camouflage, charms, and fake currency amounting to 4,000 USD.

The Commissioner described the seizures as a critical blow to gangs operating across Lagos.

“These achievements are a testament to our sustained November strategy aimed at dismantling criminal gangs, intercepting stolen property, removing illegal firearms from circulation, and strengthening public safety across Lagos State,” he noted.

He added that ongoing investigations are focusing on identifying accomplices, tracing interstate and cross-border vehicle-snatching networks, verifying ownership of recovered vehicles, and uncovering the source of recovered fake currency.

Efforts are also underway to analyse the use of military camouflage and charms in criminal operations, while tightening oversight on car-hire services and informal transport systems exploited by criminals.

CP Jimoh reassured Lagos residents that the Command remains committed to sustaining the momentum into the coming months, emphasizing that intelligence-driven policing will continue to guide operations statewide.
