The United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has announced that a Nigerian national, Ibrahim Tunde Ijaoba, is currently in its custody and awaiting deportation following the issuance of a final removal order.
ICE disclosed this in a post shared on its official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Monday, describing Ijaoba as a criminal illegal alien with a history of violent offences committed within the United States.
According to the agency, Ijaoba entered the US illegally and later accumulated multiple criminal convictions. ICE further identified him as a former member of the Bloods, a notorious street gang widely associated with violent crime, drug trafficking and armed robbery.
“Ibrahim Tunde Ijaoba is a criminal illegal alien from Nigeria and a former member of the Bloods a notoriously violent street gang,” the agency stated.
The Bloods gang is one of the most well-known criminal groups in the United States and has been linked to a wide range of serious offences across several states.
ICE noted that Ijaoba remains in custody pending his removal from the United States, reaffirming the agency’s commitment to enforcing immigration laws and prioritising the deportation of non-citizens with serious criminal records.
