The Trump administration has intensified its crackdown on criminal and undocumented immigrants across the United States, affecting many Nigerians residing in the country.

According to a Saturday report by PUNCH, some Nigerians have gone into hiding, while others are returning home quietly in response to the heightened deportation campaign led by President Donald Trump’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement ( ICE).

“The extensive measures, including house-to-house enforcement raids, have sparked fear, controversy, and protests, especially after a series of high-profile, fatal encounters involving federal immigration officers.”
